At Sandown Flying Scott won 3, which included 2 Melbourne Cup Preludes in 29.76 and 30.03.

At Meadows he won in 30.11 Best of Night, giving Puzzle Prize a start and a beating.

Flying Scott's deeds on the track included ;

• Finalist in two Group 1 Brisbane Cups
• Finalist in Lismore Cup
• Finalist in Sale Cup
• 2nd Group 3 Sandown Shootout beaten a half head by Bombastic Shiraz
• Winning Tweed Heads' Wintersun Cup in 38.06
• Publicly trialled at Albion Park 520m in 29.94, and ran the last section in record 12.30.
• Winning at Beenleigh over 555m in 32.94 ( one length outside track record )
• Winning at the Gold Coast 37.29 over 650m - sizzling in the mud (grass track)
• Winning maiden at Grafton in 22.77 by 10 Lengths

In the $20,000 to the Winner Sale Cup, he led by 3.00 Lengths at the half way mark - had the race in his keeping only to cramp in home straight finishing 2.50 Lengths off the winner.

He was invited to the 2002 and 2003 Rookie Rebel Classics at the Meadows over 600m. At Meadows, prior to start in 2002 Rookie Rebel he trialled before Stewards in 29.88 - a Track Record equalling time.

At Albion Park and Sandown Flying Scott consistently ran last section of 520m in record or near record time.
