Pure breed chickens consist of 27 different breeds, as well as 6 different breeds of ducks, guinea fowl and turkeys. Country Cackler's home sales range from day old chicks and ducklings right up to point of lay pullets and roosters.

Guinea fowl and turkeys are available in season which are both hugely popular and Country Cacklers struggle to keep up with demand.

Country Cacklers also supply the local areas of Temora, Wagga, Cootamundra etc with Hy-line Pullets, growing out 1,000 at a time.

Country Cackler's fertile eggs are incubated in their 2 x 1,200 egg incubators OR sold as fertile eggs for $50 - $75 per dozen via the Internet.

In addition to Country Cackler's home sales, they take their birds and bagged manure to the Canberra Markets each Sunday, generating a sizable income alone.

Country Cacklers prides itself on providing good quality, healthy birds, that are vaccinated at the farm.

They are open 7 days a week 10am -5pm, but that could be changed to work in with your own schedule.

Poultry is housed in numerous sheds on their 4.5 acre property. The 9m x 9m new American Barn houses 8 breeds with indoor/outdoor pens. The other breeds are housed in smaller sheds with indoor/outdoor pens and the ducks have huge breeding pens, surrounded by 1.8m chain mesh. All chicken pens have lighting, so you can get that early start to the breeding season, have automatic waterers and indoor nest boxes.

In addition to the sheds is a separate brooding room, divided into 7 separate bays. Great for different breeds and age groups. Once the chicks and ducklings have outgrown the brooding room they are then moved to the outdoors growing pens and sheds. As added security against foxes, there is an electric fox boundry around all the breeding pens and growing yards.

A new addition to Country Cacklers are 2 movable growing sheds, 15m long, 6m wide and 3m high. These can be moved around the paddock to make for easy free ranging and keeping fresh pasture.

Country Cacklers also mill their own food, so there is a milling shed with concrete floor, mixer and grincher.

The owners are keen on dog breeding and showing so the property has a substantial kennel complex consisting of 12 covered, 6m x 2m concrete dog runs, with a 2m x 2m Besseer block kennel in each pen. There are also 2 concrete puppy pens, 4m x 4m. These would convert into further breeding or growing pens for poultry or would be ideal for Greyhound breeders.
